The Many Moods of Elizabeth McQueen

So, when I started these Continental Club Happy Hours, I had what I thought was a brilliant idea at the time. I would wear a different dress every week. And not only would I wear a new dress every Wednesday, but I would catalog them and describe each piece's genesis in detail. Just like my favorite fashion bloggers.

Have i mentioned that I'm a huge fan of fashion blogs, specifically of self style blogs where people post pictures of themselves in outfits they've put together (i got the term "self style blog" from local fashionista Indiana Adams at adored austin. I dig her style).

Now, I would never subject the internet to descriptions of my everyday attire. ("Today I wore a 6 year old t-shirt from a show I went to six years ago, and a pair of cut off knit shorts I originally got from the Walmart on the Bayou. Flip-flops are Old Navy, circa 2008") But here was my chance to actually be kind if fashion blogger-ish! Because I would be wearing dresses. That looked nice. And would be worth writing about.

The biggest flaw in my plan was my intense laziness when it comes to fashion. I mean I actually have worn a different dress every week, and I even did my hair. And put on makeup! But in doing all that I exhausted my fashionista side. Taking pictures? Writing about it? How exhausting!

So now I'm going to post, in order, most of the dressed I have worn during my Wednesday Happy Hours at the Continental Club.

Except for the first one, because I left it on the Wheel's bus, and I didn't have another picture of it. See how I am...

Now without further ado, week 2 of the Continental Club Happy Hour Dress Extravaganza:

I've got two more weeks left, and maybe, just maybe this exercise will make me more on the spot with my fashion rundown. And maybe, just maybe, one of my upcoming posts will be about my shoes.
Because my shoes are truly awesome
